The main window is separated into three areas:
1. In the upper part of the window you can select a project.
2. In the middle of the window there's a list of all found (potential) link partners.
3. The lower part of the window allows you to work with the link partner you select in the middle of the window.
1. The upper part of the main window
The Current project popup menu
| The Current project popup menu lets you select a project. A project contains all link partner information for a specific domain. This means that projects allow you to manage links for multiple domains. For example, you can have a project for the domain www.Axandra.com and a project for the domain www.vse-online.com. The project for the domain www.Axandra.com contains all link partner information for the Axandra.com domain, the www.vse-online.com project contains all link partner information for the vse-online.com domain.
|
| If you have only one web site and manage the link pages for only one web site you need only one project. In that case, you can ignore the projects popup menu and the upper part of the main window.
|
The Add button
| The Add button allows you to add a new project.
|
The Duplicate button
| The Duplicate button duplicates the currently selected project, including all information, for example the web sites, the category names, the status texts, etc.
|
The Edit Project button
| The Edit Project button opens the Edit Project window. You can change the basic settings of your project in that dialog.
|
The Remove button
| The Remove button removes the currently selected project from the list.
|
2. The link partners list
The list contains the URLs, your link texts and other information of your (potential) link partners. The results are sorted by URL. If you click on a column header text, the list will be sorted by that header. You can choose if you want to link to a web site in that list (just click the "Include in Link Pages" box) and categorize the found web sites.
It is very important that you categorize all found web sites so that you'll get an easy to navigate and clear link directory. To assign a category to a found web site, click in the category column in the web site row and select a category. You can add as many categories and sub categories as you want.
The Search edit field
| The Search edit field allows you to search the list for special link partners.
|
The List height menu
| The List height menu allows you to specify a list height.
|
The Find New Link Partners button
The Add Site button
| If you think that a certain web site should be added to the list you can do that manually by clicking the "Add Site" button.
|
The Remove Site button
| The Remove Site button removes the currently selected web site from the list.
|
The Create Links Pages button
3. The lower part of the window
The lower part of the window allows you to work with the link partner you select in the middle of the window. The content of the lower part of the window changes depending on what panel you choose.
