Once you've set up your link pages, you should contact your potential link partners. Of course, you don't have to link to a web site before you ask for a link to your site. However, if you link to a site before you ask for a link back, it's much more likely that the webmaster will respond.
How to send email messages with ARELIS
Click the "Send Email Message" panel in the main window of ARELIS. You'll see the following:
Enter the subject of your email message in the "Subject:" edit field and the email message in the "Email message:" text box. If you've entered your email server information in the "Email Options" window, you can press the "Send Message" button to send the email message. You can also press the F10 key to send the message if you prefer keyboard shortcuts.
These are the elements of the "Send Email Message" panel:
Recipient name:
| Enter the name of the email recipient in this edit field.
|
Recipient email:

Tip: The response rate to your email messages strongly depends on how you write your link exchange requests. Make sure that they don't look like spam. Ask yourself what you would think if you received the email message you're going to send.
Tips on how to write effective email messages can be found in the ARELIS beginner's guide. You can open it from the Help menu in the ARELIS main window.
