ARELIS - How To Get High Quality Inbound Links

Category and sub category

ARELIS allows you to assign link partners category names and sub category names. Using many categories and sub categories makes your link pages clear and easy to understand for your web site visitors.

Another advantage of using many category and sub categories is that your link partners will be listed on a links page that contains many related links. That makes your link to a link partner much more valuable for the link partner. A link that is embedded between other links from the same topic is much better than a link that is buried in many other unrelated links.

Email template

An email template allows you to quickly create customized email messages. An email template is a text file that contains variables (placeholders) that will be replaced with information from your link partner. For further information about email templates, click here.

Link directory

A link directory is basically the same as a link page. The difference is that a link directory consists of many link pages that are related. The advantage of a link directory is that you can have many more link partners than on a single link page. ARELIS can create link directories that consist of a single page or of multiple pages. It depends on the link page template you choose when you create your link pages/your link directory.

Weight

The Weight column in the ARELIS main list allows you to arrange your link partners on your link pages. If you have two link partners on a links page and if you want to list a one link partner above the other, then give that link partner a higher Weight number. Link partners with high Weight numbers will be listed first on your link pages.

Link page

A link page is a normal web page that contains links to other web sites. ARELIS creates these link pages for you.

Link page template

ARELIS uses link page templates to create your link pages. When you use the Create Link Pages feature in ARELIS, then ARELIS takes the information from the web site list and combines it with the information from your link page template. The result are link pages that you can upload to your web site. Further information about link page templates can be found here.

Link page template wizard

Your link pages should look like the rest of your web site. ARELIS makes it easy for you to create a link page template in the design of your web site with the Link page template wizard. Just select "Create new link page template" in the wizard window and follow the instructions. Further information can be found here.

Link partner

A link partner is a web site that has agreed to link to your site. In most cases, you also link to your link partner on your link pages.

Link popularity

Link popularity refers to the total number of links that a search engine has found for your web page. The more web sites link to your web page, the higher the link popularity of your page. High link popularity numbers contribute to a high search engine ranking. Note that link popularity is measured only for single web pages, not for the whole web site. Your web site can have several web pages with different link popularity numbers.

The idea behind the link popularity concept is simple. The more other web sites link to your web site, the more important your site must be. Other sites wouldn't link to your site if there wasn't something interesting on your site or if your web site didn't contain any special content.

It's very difficult to manipulate link popularity numbers. Previous ranking algorithms that took META keywords or similar factors into account have been quickly abused to mislead the search engines. On the other side, it's very difficult to manipulate the number of links that point to a site. That's why link popularity is now one of the most important factors for search engines when they rank web pages.

However, you cannot get high link popularity by submitting your web site to thousands of FFA (free for all) link pages. Not all links are considered equal by the search engines. It does matter who links to you and how they link to you. That's why ARELIS helps you to get high quality links from related web sites to your site. This will increase your ranking on search engines while getting targeted traffic from your link partners.

Preview browser

The preview browser in ARELIS (which is located at the bottom of the main window) allows you to quickly preview a potential link partner without starting your normal web browser. We've disabled JavaScript and Active X controls in the preview browser so that you don't get popup windows, etc.

Project

ARELIS manages the information for your link directory pages in so-called "projects". A project contains all information that you can see in the web site list and that is needed to create your link pages: the link partners, the categories, the sub categories, etc.

Each project can contain an unlimited number of link partners, categories and sub categories. If you have a single web site and want to make link directory for that web site, you need only one project. If you have more than one web site or if you manage web sites for clients, you need more than one project. Further information can be found here.

Reciprocal link

If you link to another web site and that web site links back to you, it's a reciprocal link.

SMTP server and POP server

ARELIS uses standard SMTP and POP servers to send email messages. 99% of all ISP's (Internet Service Providers) use SMTP and POP servers. MSN® and AOL® don't use that standard format. If your ISP doesn't offer an SMTP server, ask your web space provider or search for "email account" on your favorite search engine. Many email account providers offer free access to SMTP and POP servers.

Status text

The status column in ARELIS allows you to classify a web site in the ARELIS main list. For example, you can assign the status "Waiting for answer to first link exchange email" to all web sites you've contacted by email. That allows you to quickly find all web sites that have already been contacted. You can sort the ARELIS list by status by clicking on the "Status" column header. ARELIS allows you to use as many status texts as you want.
