The Export Manager
Select "Export Manager" from the Tools menu to open the Export Manager window.
Although the window looks simple, it's very powerful. You can determine which information should be exported and in which order.
Check all database field names in the list that you want to export. To determine the order of the database fields, you can drag and drop database field names to the desired place, or use the arrow buttons.
When you're finished, click the Export button to finally export the information from the current project. In the Save dialog, you can choose between three export formats:
| · | Comma separated file (.csv): Choose this format if you want to export the information in another database. Most database applications can import .csv files.
| · | Tab delimited files (.tab): Choose this format for database applications that don't recognize .csv files.
| · | Microsoft Excel® 2002/XP: Choose this format if you want to open the exported project information in Microsoft Excel® 2002/XP.
If you want to import the project information in older versions of Microsoft Excel®, try saving in the .tab format and open the exported .tab file in Microsoft Excel®.
Important: If a file with the same name is already open in another application, then ARELIS cannot save the project information. For example, if you export the project information to a file and open that file in Microsoft Excel®, then you cannot export the file to the same location again because it's already open in Microsoft Excel®. You must close the file in Excel first before you can export it again in ARELIS.

Dates are saved as a 14 digit text, for example 20030922060708. The numbers contain information about the date and the time. You can write the number 20030922060708 as 2003-09-22 06-07-08 so you can see the date (22 September 2003) and the time.
