The web site list shows you all potential link partners that ARELIS has found for you:

list-with-search-field

URL:
The URL that has been found by ARELIS (this doesn't have to be the URL that is used on your link pages)

Link Text:
The text that will be used to link to your link partner on your link pages.

Status:
A status text that helps you to quickly see if you've already contacted that site.

Links Back:
Tick that box if a link partner agreed to link back to your site.

Include in Link Pages:
Tick that box to include that web page in your link pages.

Category:
The category in which your link partner should be listed on your link pages.

Sub category:
The sub category in which your link partner should be listed on your link pages.

Weight:
Allows you to specify the position of the link partner on your link pages.

You can quickly re-arrange the list by a special column if you click the corresponding column header. For example, if you want to sort the list by category, click the "Category" header in the list.

How to change the link page information for a link partner

ARELIS allows you to quickly change the information that will be used on your link pages for a special link partner. Just select a link partner in the list and click the Edit Site panel at the bottom of the ARELIS main window:

panel edit site

Found URL:
The URL that is displayed in the web site list. This URL will not be used for your link pages.

URL to the link partner web site in your link directory:
The URL that will be used on your link pages to link to this link partner. For example, this could be an affiliate link or a link to a special page on your link partner's site. In general, this is the homepage URL of your link partner.

URL of the page that contains a link to your site:
If a link partner has agreed to link back to your site, enter the URL of the web page that contains the link to your site in this edit field. Whenever you use the "Check Links" feature in ARELIS, ARELIS will visit that web page and check if it still contains a link to your site. That way, you can easily track if your link partners still link to you after a while.

Picture or banner URL in your link directory:
If you want to display a banner next to the link to this link partner, enter the URL of the banner in this edit field. The banner must be available on the Internet. Enter the full path to the banner in this edit field, for example "http://www.Axandra.com/affiliates/ibp-banner-01.gif".

Link text in your link directory:
Allows you to specify the text that will be used for the link to this link partner on your link pages.

Description in your link directory:
Allows you to specify the description that will be used for the link to this link partner on your link pages.

Notes:
Allows you to enter additional notes to this link partner for your own purposes.

The "Get" buttons help you to quickly get the corresponding information from the link partner's web page.

How to edit multiple link partners at once

If you want to edit the information for more than one link partner at once, select the pages in the list (hold down the Shift or the Ctrl key while clicking on the link partners in the list) and then choose "Change selected web sites" from the List menu in the ARELIS main window.
